David Workman

 

 

David has dedicated his career to helping leaders identify and cultivate their unique leadership talents. He has extensive consulting experience in competency-based approaches to individual, team and organizational development. His expertise includes leadership and organizational development, succession planning, researched-based selection, performance management and executive coaching.

 

As a specialist in executive and organizational development, David has provided coaching and consulting services to a variety of international, private and public organizations, throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.

 

Prior to founding his own consulting firm, David held leadership roles in the Disney organization where he led the People & Organization Development team for the Outdoor Entertainment Group. He has also held assignments as the senior vice president for Human Resources at Piedmont Airlines, Inter-Continental Hotel Corporation, and Marriott In-Flight Services.

 

He is a frequent guest lecturer and speaker on leadership development and the changing role of leaders. He has served as an advisor to the State Service Commission of New Zealand and The Office of the Public Commissioner of Queensland Australia. David was educated at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Southern California (USC) and The New York School of Industrial and Labor Relations (Cornell).

 

He resides with his wife Elyse in Hong Kong.

 

Mike Hargrove

 

Michael Hargrove is a partner at the Center for Leadership Development and leading expert in the field of strategic planning and critical thinking. Educated at Harvard University where he received his Doctorate and Masters Degrees in Planning and Organizational Behavior, Michael’s focus is strategic alignment, executive team development, operational effectiveness and leadership and executive development.  The challenge that he has addressed over the years is how to link leadership behavior with organizational performance and strategic intent.

 

Co-author of The FOCUS ModelTM, which combines strategic intent, organizational capability and talent assessment with good process, Michael has been effective in applying leading edge thinking to organizational effectiveness.

 

His accomplishments include infrastructure and manpower development for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, assisted in formulating a startup team for a Bechtel subsidiary company and developed distance learning methodologies for Boston University. Michael has also successfully completed an assignment as a COO for a multinational company in which they increased their revenues and profits by 10x within three years.


Michael has also successfully built leadership capacity and strategic focus for organizations such as: Adidas, Aetna, Basic Research, British Airways DFS (Duty Free Shops, an LVMH Company), Footlocker, Marriott, Tyco and Saudi Aramco.


In addition to his considerable business experience, he has been an adjunct faculty member in senior executive programs at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Loyola College, Cambridge College, and the Chinese Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

 

Michael is an avid mountaineer and resides with his family in Utah.
